2. To offer support on any root causes, adopting a public health model.
3. To reduce domestic abuse and support healthy relationships.
4. To reduce the impact of domestic abuse on victims and any children.
Process for Assessment and/or inclusion in scheme/intervention
A comprehensive assessment of people’s suitability is undertaken during the preparation of the Criminal Justice Social Work Report where elements of the programme can be included as part of a Supervision Requirement.
Where a Programme Requirement is being considered; a comprehensive and specialist assessment of people’s suitability is a prerequisite and a six week period of deferment is required to complete this assessment.
Where no specific scheme/intervention is available, is there capacity to provide a bespoke service based on judicial request?
A person-centred plan will be developed for each individual. This programme can range from six to forty sessions (with the option of extended sessions), dependent on the risks and needs identified as part of the assessment. Therefore, elements of the programme can be included as part of a Supervision Requirement.
